We had a successfully “Green” event at the opening reception of ReCREATE, the debut exhibition of the Tubman Mahan Art Gallery of the Center for Green Urbanism. The reception, which was held Friday, October 15th, was the concluding event to a day of festivities surrounding the Grand Opening of the Center for Green Urbanism, located at 3938 Benning Road, NE, in Ward 7 of Washington, DC.
Special thanks to Marvin Bowser, Commissioner, Ward 7, of the DC Arts and Humanities Commission, ThinkBrownINK for the excellent publicity, and the 20 artists who created one of most diverse and stunning works of art with recycled materials we ever witnessed!
Miss the opening? Mark your calendar for Art, Wine and Conversation, a happy hour event featuring the artists of ReCreate on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 6-8 pm at the Center for Green Urbanism!
Check out more photos of the opening on our Facebook Fan page here.
